Fridays at Viking Village are dock tour days and this morning Karter Larsen hosted a group of interested kids and adults. He gave the visitors great insight about commercial fishing and showed different types of catch that are packed out in Viking Village. He explained how tuna is graded and how scallops are graded, the difference between a scallop boat, gill net boat and long liner. Hopefully not gave the tourists a better understanding of what it takes to get that fish from the ocean to the plate.
