After a cold and wet Memorial Day weekend today was partly cloudy but warmer. Viking Village was quiet but the Frances Anne was packing out at the Lighthouse Marina just down the road. This boat had brought in a large catch of tilefish, some of which were over 25 pounds. Wandering around the dock I stopped at another of the blue fishing boats, the Monica, and was invited to come aboard and look around. I have wanted to get onto one of these boats since starting the project so gladly accepted the offer. It’s amazing how much equipment is on the boat. The Monica was heading out in the afternoon so I went back to the north end of the island to take photos as she went out the inlet. The Relentless from Viking Village was also heading out so I was able to make pictures of both boats.
