As I arrived at the docks this morning the Kathy Ann was waiting to pack out after a nearly two week scallop trip. Steve Levan was clearly delighted to see his wife and two children and he lifted the kids onto the boat for a few minutes. We tend to forget that the men who bring in the fish we eat have families they often leave for extended periods of time. I hope to spotlight the family connections as this project moves forward. The Eaglet II came in with about 9,000 pounds of tilefish to unload. Logan Puskas, seen in the photo, became the new owner of this boat in 2021 and I am hoping to have further conversations with him about the future of his boat.
