May 20, 2021

Another sunny May day with no rain in sight dawned on Long Beach Island and down to the docks I headed. Luckily I was just in time to catch the Provider III heading out so was able to get to the inlet before it did and make some photos of it which I will share with the crew when they get back into port. I also made a new friend in one of the fishermen named Stevie. I had seen him around when I had been photographing but today he was sitting in a perfect spot for a portrait which he graciously allowed me to take. The light was perfect and I hope he will be pleased with the portraits I made. These days I am trying to concentrate on the portraits when possible as it is really the people who make the story. I also dropped off a few pics at the bait and tackle shops where I photographed the other day.
