Sunset was a beautiful and quiet time at the dock today. With a lack of any noticeable wind the bay was very still which made the reflections of the boats stand out. I used both the mirrorless and DSLR cameras with different lenses – just experimenting with light and focal length. I use a great app called The Photographer’s Ephemeris which will tell me the angle of the sun or moon at any time of day in any location. It’s great for planning when and from what spot to photograph. As the position of the sunset changes over the summer photos taken from the same angles will be different and interesting to compare.
